Ellie Darling sets out to find the best ex-boyfriend of her life, a journey she finds absolutely necessary after she reads a magazine article warning that people who have had more than 20 relationships in their lives have missed out on the chance to find their true love. Ellie is a true modern heroine. She is smart, attractive, funny and romantic - a girl who is trying to figure out who she really is and who she should connect her life with. Although the magazine article spurred her to find her former best beau, it means something more important: Ellie has reached a point in her life when she finds herself without a husband, without a job, and her life is not at all what she dreamed of.
