Frank scene with Nelly Nevedina(5:34)

A provincial town near Moscow. Several families live here in a large communal apartment. Everyone has their own worries, their own interests, their own troubles and joys. Communal is not just a habitat. It's a kind of slice of society. All of them are very different, members of this “communal dormitory”: intelligent Vera and philistine Larisa, elderly pensioners living out their lives, and a disabled Lyra, dreaming of a happy life in distant Australia, a soulless clerk God and a young researcher Victor, forced to work as a tutor. However, their fates are inextricably linked with the events and difficult conflicts taking place in the country, with a sense of instability, fear, anxious expectation: something must happen.
