A young teacher from the outback, Svetlana, having arrived for a seminar in St. Petersburg, meets petroleum geologist Fedor, who falls in love with a naive provincial girl. One day, while walking around St. Petersburg, she meets an intelligent emergency doctor, Berezkin. In love with his hometown and passionate about history, he turns their joint travels around St. Petersburg into exciting excursions. Gradually, a sincere feeling breaks out between the young people.
