Sonia Braga plays a beautiful woman whose husband, a gambler and womanizer, dies after partying the night away at a carnival. Deciding to get married again, the widow chooses a boring middle-aged pharmacist who makes love once a year as promised. One night, as she lay in bed next to her sleeping husband, the ghost of her first husband appeared. She tries to get rid of him, but he refuses to disappear. In the end, she gives in and goes to bed with him, while her second husband continues to snore peacefully.
