Bradley Morahan, a famous Australian artist who pays large alimony payments, is preparing to leave for his homeland. He heads to the Great Barrier Reef to live in a dilapidated hut on the island of his dreams just off the mainland. Living on this island is an old woman, still soaked in gin, who looks like a witch, her granddaughter Cora and Isbel Marley, a man-starved old maid who lives on an annual rent.
