The main character is 27-year-old Ilya Goryunov, who served seven years in prison on false charges of drug trafficking. When Ilya is released, he realizes that the old life he yearned for is destroyed, and he will no longer be able to return to it. Although he had no intention of taking revenge on the man who sent him to prison, there is no other choice now. Having met face to face with his offender, Ilya commits a rash act, after which the main character gains access to Peter’s smartphone, and with it to the young man’s life - his photographs and videos, correspondence with his parents and girlfriend Nina, and strange negotiations with colleagues full of omissions and threats. For a while, Ilya becomes Peter for everyone - through the text on the phone screen.
