About the movie

In a small Sicilian town, the head of the criminal investigation department, Marineo, is killed. It seems like a mafia crime. On the same day, another death becomes known. Marquise Pecci Chaloya committed suicide. Corrado Cattani, an experienced police officer who moves to Sicily with his wife and daughter, is appointed to replace the murdered commissioner.
