About the movie
Little Bobby is a confused, loner bully who, by all indications, should someday turn out to be a consummate thief. Mel and Sid are experienced criminals who can smell their own blood a mile away. They offer him and his girlfriend Rosie a partnership in a big business that promises a big jackpot. Moreover, they almost play the parents of a young couple, enhancing the serene cynicism already written into Clark’s films. The business is managed relatively successfully, but troubles begin with the sale of the loot. There will be blood, and tears, and a fleeting paradise, followed by an endless hell. As always, I don’t feel sorry for anyone, no one. Or all of them at once.
