David Gale is a man who has tried to live by his principles, but in a bizarre twist of fate, this devoted father, popular professor and outspoken opponent of the death penalty finds himself on death row for the murder of activist Constance Harraway. Three days before her execution, Gale agrees to be interviewed by reporter Bitsy Bloom. But the journalist soon realizes that her participation in this case will not be limited to one interview and that a person’s life is in her hands. Putting her own safety on the line, she begins to investigate the terrible events that surrounded Constance's death.
