Paris, 1789. A young girl is looking for her sister. The search leads her right into the arms of the vicious and sensual Marquis de Sade, imprisoned in the Bastille for sexual crimes. The guillotine is waiting for him, but this does not prevent him from capturing a young beauty. He tells her about the fate of his missing sister. But in exchange, she must help him write a book about pleasure and pain, the work of his life. For a girl, this is a difficult test - the marquis tries to impose his philosophy on her: Love is an illusion, pain is reality.
