1873, Absolution, Arizona. A stranger who has lost his memory arrives in this remote American province. The only hint of his past is the strange shackles on one of his wrists. The wanderer quickly learns that the residents of the town are not happy with strangers and generally take to the streets only on the orders of Colonel Dolarhyde, who rules the area with an iron fist.
