This age formula of “maturity and flowering” was derived by the great French theorist (and, of course, practitioners) of love Honore de Balzac in his novel The Thirty-Year-Old Woman. The second part of the title is a direct consequence of the first. What else do beautiful and unmarried girls do, but search for love? Well, where the search is – there are mistakes, and disappointments, and those very “men” who sometimes behave as a form of “friend”. The combination of irony and sincerity, comedy and melodrama, recognizable situations of the difficult amorous life of the modern metropolis give this love-comedy cocktail an original, piquant taste.
