An ordinary business trip on a fast train ends unexpectedly and tragically for businessman Maxim and journalist Lisa - they become victims of an armed attack and are captured by the influential terrorist Marat, who was forced to take the path of atrocities by the loss of those closest to him. Finding themselves in the basement of a house lost among the Caucasus mountains, the hostages count on the help of their friends, but when the transfer of the ransom suddenly breaks down, and the chances of salvation become less and less, they can only rely on their own strength and on the fate that has so abruptly and unpredictably changed their measured life.
