Vanya is a salesman in the “Hunter and Fisherman” store. Kristina is a ballerina at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater. Christina jokingly calls Vanya a “retro person” for his love of everything antique. He lives in his “grandmother’s” apartment, watches Soviet cartoons and imagines himself as a hero of medieval legends. Christina herself is a modern person; nostalgia for the romantic past is not characteristic of her. And yet, these two dissimilar people have something in common - a fear of loneliness and an obsession with starting a family. As an experiment, Christina allows the knight Vanya to appoint her as his beautiful lady. Not all of Vanya’s traits and habits suit Christina, but she plans to re-educate him. Cut off everything unnecessary.
