1941, the attack on the Pearl Harbor naval base by Japanese aircraft was the beginning of military operations of the American fleet against Japanese ships in the Pacific Ocean. Captain Rock Torrey, overcoming the intrigues and careerism of his colleagues, pulling his friends out of trouble and trying to improve relations with his son-officer, becomes a rear admiral and commander-in-chief of the risky but necessary Operation Skyhook, which with its success can change the entire course of the war. Risking his small fleet, he enters into an unequal battle with the Japanese and wins, but at the cost of the lives of his friends and son.
