After working for six months in a military hospital in Chechnya, surgeon Oleg Korneev is planning to return home. Unexpectedly, he is sent to Grozny for several days. But Oleg fails to reach his destination: on the way, his car explodes. Having learned from his superiors that Oleg has gone missing, his wife Toma, also a soldier, decides to find him.
