The calm life of a provincial town is shaken by terrible news: the body of a 32-year-old woman has been found. There is a suspicion that the deceased is the sister of local police department investigator Rita Tikhonova, who disappeared 14 years ago. An investigation begins, during which Rita encounters very strange circumstances and realizes that those around her are keeping terrible secrets, and her family and friends are not who they say they are.
