Respiro

On the small Sicilian island of Lampedusa there lives a family - a fisherman father, a teacher mother and three children. For the whole day, Pietro goes to sea, his children clean and pack the fish, and Grazia, still a young and very beautiful woman, suffocates in this suffocating, fetid space. The more she tries to break out of the confines of her dull everyday life, the more her behavior seems defiant. The residents of Lampedusa spread a rumor that Grazia is unwell, and Pietro is going to place her in a Milan psychiatric clinic.
