The Icon of a Season

The film is based on a play by Olga Mukhina. The action takes place in a fictional city that closely resembles Moscow. The characters of the film, including producers, TV presenters, DJs, talk a lot about love, but are not able to feel it. They talk about what they do not understand. They are charming, successful and live in a comfortable and gentle world that matches their credit card bill. They lead an active but empty and idle lifestyle. And at some point the hero begins to overcome the fear that he will soon be gone. His cozy world begins to collapse, exposing the surrounding reality, which bears retribution for the mistakes of the past and at the same time – a new future. And what it will be depends only on whether the hero can understand himself.
