Private detective Stas Severin receives a task from his old friend - to find the killer of his wife. From the client’s incoherent explanations, Stas understands that we are talking about a large inheritance of the famous antiques collector Arefiev, the claimants for which make up the circle of suspects. The mysterious key given to the detective should help in solving the mystery. The widower does not have time to tell more: the next day he dies under strange circumstances. Now Stas is involved in a chain of mysterious events not only in his job: he cannot leave the murder of a friend unpunished, and, on top of everything, one of the heirs of a wealthy collector turns out to be his beloved!
